How to find email addresses with the Email Finder?
The Email Finder is a tool to find verified email addresses of professionals by their name.
To look up an email address, you need:
- The full name of the person you would like to contact;
- The domain name used for emails by the company, organization, or website to which this professional belongs. When you type the company name into the Email Finder, Hunter will automatically suggest the closest domain name.
What is the accuracy of Hunter's Email Finder?
The Email Finder uses the most complete database of public email addresses to find the right contact information.
All the email addresses go through a free email verification before being returned. All the email addresses with the green Verified shield have been verified and found deliverable. You can use them safely.
For the email addresses that couldn't be validated, a confidence score taking into account various data points indicates how sure the email address is.
Are the email addresses guesses or found somewhere?
Both cases can happen.
- First, the Email Finder will search for a match in our extensive database of email addresses found publicly on the web.
- If there is no likely match, the Email Finder will use various data points to deduce the most likely email address.
In both cases, the email addresses go through an email verification to validate the accuracy.
Can I find the email addresses of a list of people?
Yes! You can use the Bulk Email Finder to upload a CSV file and enrich it with email addresses or search directly by using our Google Sheets add-on.
How is the Email Finder different from other email search tools?
- Hunter has one of the most extensive databases of more than one hundred million professional email addresses to help you find the most up-to-date contact information of any professional.
- Every email returned with the Email Finder goes through a email verification check. It returns the verification status and a unique confidence score to evaluate the accuracy.
- When an email address is found publicly on the web, the Email Finder returns the public sources where it has been found along with the discovery dates.
- The Email Finder is GDPR compliant. Although GDPR only applies to data from EU residents, we apply the requirements of the regulation broadly to cover our entire database.
What are other email lookup tools from Hunter?
The Domain Search lets you search for email addresses related to a website or company and identify the right people to contact.
Why doesn't the Email Finder return any result and how can it be fixed?
If the Email Finder can't find the email address, we recommend verifying the following elements:
- Is the company or organization using the domain name you entered for emails? In some cases, the domain name used for emails is different from the domain name used for the website.
- Is the person you want to contact still in the company or organization?
- Has the person's name been misspelled?
If the Email Finder still can't find any result after verifying these elements, a manual search is likely needed.
Is the Email Finder free?
One search that returns an email costs one Search credit. If the Email Finder fails to provide a result, it is free.
With a free account, you can use up to 50 searches/month. If you need more, please check the pricing for more information.
